REDESIGNED FAMILY APARTMENT
Küsnacht

RENOVATION & REMODELLING PROJECT – INVESTOR

Layout optimization floor plan, interior design concept, materials & colors, lighting, renovation supervision

INITIAL SITUATION

The ground floor apartment was built in 1974 and is being completely renovated and modernized. Raumdesign developed the design concept of the apartment and selects the materials based on the “Retro Style”.

IMPLEMENTATION

The "RETRO" style characterizes the choice of kitchen, bathroom fittings and all materials and finishes. The oiled oak parquet flooring in a fishbone pattern runs throughout the apartment. The bathrooms are tiled with terrazzo ceramic tiles.

The elegant wooden wardrobe in the entrance hall and the fitted cupboards were custom made. Filigree light fixtures create a soft, pleasant ambience in the hallway. Green, blue and earth tones dominate the color scheme in the kitchen and bathrooms. These tones are repeated in the bedrooms.

The airy, spacious apartment nestles harmoniously in the garden and is an ideal home for a family.

VACATION APARTMENT –
ALPINE CHIC
Lenzerheide

REMODELING PROJECT – PRIVATE

Connection of two apartments: optimizing floor plan, design concept, materials & colors, lighting, renovation supervision

INITIAL SITUATION

The purchase of a second, identical apartment fulfilled a long-held wish of the customers for more living space. The conversion into a maisonette apartment could begin.

IMPLEMENTATION

The aim of bringing the two apartments together visually was achieved by creating a striking old timber wall across both floors. The kitchen as the centerpiece, with access to the garden, is on located the first floor. The black lacquered doors, which reflect the mountain panorama, contrast with the antique wooden table.

The rustic wooden staircase leads to the cozy living room. The fireplace, with its bespoke bench, is a popular place to read. The two bathrooms are equipped identical, simple and functional. Look around and you will find nostalgic touches throughout the apartment.
